About Monica:
Monica is a registered acupuncturist in British Columbia with over 12 years of experience in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in China. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in TCM, and she completed her medical residency in China, gaining extensive hands-on experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions across multiple medical departments.
Fluent in both English and Mandarin, Monica specializes in treating chronic physical pain commonly experienced by athletes and office workers alike. She effectively addresses conditions such as neck pain, frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome, and lower back pain—often caused by repetitive strain or poor posture. Monica is also highly skilled in treating mood and anxiety disorders, insomnia, headaches, and facial paralysis, offering holistic care that supports both physical and emotional well-being.
With four years of experience treating post-stroke sequelae, sports injuries, and chronic pain at a rehabilitation hospital in China, she excels at helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through personalized recovery and rehabilitation treatments.
Monica regularly attends medical conferences and refresher courses to stay up to date on the latest advancements in TCM medications and treatment methods. Outside of her practice, she enjoys watching Korean dramas, trying delicious foods, traveling, and playing sports like badminton.
